Curious about Coaching or Demystifying Coaching?

by | Dec 7, 2023 | HR Blog

  • Do you want a safe space to think, to talk out loud, to be supported (and challenged 😉) as you navigate your current and future aspirations?
  • Do you want to take time to explore your current approaches to managing and leading people, ensuring that you are evolving in alignment with the world around you?
  •  Are you stepping up into a more senior role and want time to think plan and action your personal development needs?
  • Maybe you just want a “thinking partner” to help you explore your day to day challenges, remove noise and plan next steps?

Then coaching might be what you are looking for?

Lisa Lind, one of McKinney HR Associates and Experienced Organisational Development/Learning & Development Consultant, shared some useful information for any organisation considering a workplace coaching.

Coaching allows us to provide a safe space for each individual and team to explore their aspirations,  options, create realistic plans and take action, including identifying what may help or hinder progress, and taking forward any actions that might be needed.

When we asked one of our Executive Leadership Coaches to summarise coaching, they said “my role is to create a safe and confidential space for my client(s) to think “deeply”, away from the daily distractions and frustrations, “noise”.  My goal in coaching is to support my clients to do their best thinking and make the right decisions for them and their organisations. I am always their biggest supporter, I have their back as they make any changes needed to set them, their teams and their organisation up for success”.
